Terms of Service

Last updated: July 10, 2026

In plain terms: Metal Strength is a fitness information tool — the core features are free, and an optional Premium subscription unlocks extras. It estimates strength standards and one-rep maxes for guidance only; it is not medical, health, or professional coaching advice. Use the Service sensibly, keep your account secure, do not misuse the site, and read these Terms together with our Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Metal Strength website at metalstrength.fit, the strength calculator, account features, saved lift history, contact and notification forms, and related pages (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Operator and scope

The Service is operated by an independent developer based in France ("Metal Strength", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms apply to the website and account features. They do not replace any mandatory terms that may apply through an app store, device platform, authentication provider, advertising provider, or other third-party service.

3. What the Service does

Metal Strength lets you estimate how a lift compares with strength standards, calculate estimated one-rep max values, view tiers and percentiles, use the macro and body-fat calculators, and, if you create an account, save and track selected history. The public calculators can be used without an account. Saved history, progress charts, and profile defaults require sign-in.

The core Service is free. We also offer an optional paid tier, Metal Strength Premium, sold as an auto-renewing subscription — see section 4. We do not sell physical goods.

4. Premium subscriptions

Metal Strength Premium is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features (for example unlimited saved history and health-calculator saves). It is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual plan. The price, billing period, and any promotional discount are shown before you confirm the purchase.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account or submit personal data through the Service. If you are under 15, do not create an account or submit personal data unless a parent or legal guardian has provided the legally required permission. Because the Service does not currently offer a dedicated parental-consent flow, account creation is intended for users who are at least 15.

By using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to accept these Terms.

6. Your account

Creating an account is optional. When you create one, you must accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You may stop using your account at any time. You can delete individual saved lifts in your dashboard. To request full account deletion, follow the instructions in our Privacy Policy.

7. Fitness and training disclaimer

The Service is an informational fitness tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, injury-prevention advice, or personalised coaching. Strength tiers, percentiles, estimated one-rep max values, bodyweight ratios, world-record comparisons, and other outputs are estimates based on formulas and reference data. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or unsuitable for your circumstances.

Resistance training can involve serious risk, especially maximal or near-maximal lifting. Always train within your abilities, use proper technique and equipment, and seek advice from a qualified physician, healthcare provider, or coach before beginning or changing a training program. Stop training and seek help if you experience pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms. Our Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

8. Your content and saved data

Lift entries, profile defaults, messages, and other information you choose to submit remain yours. By submitting or saving content, you give us the limited permission needed to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content back to you, operate the Service, protect the Service, and respond to your requests.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or that you do not have the right to provide. We do not sell your personal data. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, branding, interface, design, text, software, calculations, and compiled reference materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service, our branding, or our content.

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial fitness reference purposes. You may not remove notices, reverse engineer the Service except where law permits it, or use our name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

11. Third-party services, links, and advertising

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, security, authentication, database, email delivery, fonts, sign-in, payments, and advertising. These may include Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend, Google, and PayPal. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The website may display advertisements and links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, security, or privacy practices. Advertising is provided through Google AdSense; see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for information about advertising cookies and your choices.

12. Mobile application

The Metal Strength mobile app provides the same accounts and features as the website, and these Terms cover your use of it. App-store providers (Apple App Store, Google Play) apply their own terms, privacy notices, refund rules, and technical requirements. To the extent there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory app-store terms for the mobile app, the mandatory app-store terms apply for that app-store relationship.

13. Availability and changes to the Service

We provide the Service on an "as available" basis. We may update, improve, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also impose reasonable limits to protect security, prevent abuse, or comply with law. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, availability, or that results will meet your expectations.

Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty, guarantee, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity; training injury; or any loss arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for intentional misconduct, fraud, gross negligence where applicable, or mandatory French and EU consumer-protection rights.

16. Consumer rights

If you use the Service as a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence. These Terms are not intended to reduce those rights. In particular, mandatory rules about digital services, unfair contract terms, data protection, and consumer remedies remain unaffected where they apply.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or restrict features if we reasonably believe that you breached these Terms, created risk for the Service or other users, violated law, or used the Service abusively.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law, and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules under the law of your country of residence remain unaffected. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts, subject to any mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules that apply.
