Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The short version: we want everyone to be able to train with Metal Strength. We build the website and the apps to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, the standard behind the European Accessibility Act and the one used for the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are not there everywhere yet — what still falls short is listed below — and if something gets in your way, tell us and we will help.
1. Conformance status
The website at metalstrength.fit and the Android and iOS apps are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA: most content meets it, and the exceptions are listed in section 3.
2. What we do
- Pages are built with semantic headings, landmarks, labelled controls and form fields, so screen readers (TalkBack, VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS) can navigate them.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text can be enlarged with the browser's zoom or the phone's font size; zoom is never blocked.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Light and dark modes follow your device setting, and colour is never the only way information is given.
- Exercise demonstrations are silent clips, and every one comes with written, step-by-step instructions and the list of muscles it trains.
- The app is available in 14 languages.
- We test with an automated accessibility checker (axe-core) and by hand with a keyboard, and fix what they find.
3. Known limitations
- The interactive body map (tapping muscles on a figure) is visual. Every muscle on it can also be chosen from a list of names, and the muscles trained by each exercise are always written out.
- Charts (volume, progression, training split, heart rate) are drawn graphics. Their key numbers are also written out as text beside them, but a full text table of every point is not available yet.
- The day bars in the Home week strip are narrower than 24 pixels on a phone. Every day can also be opened from the full calendar, which the same card opens.
- Wheel pickers (for weights, reps and dates) are easiest by touch; with a keyboard, use the arrow keys.
- Content from other companies — the cookie-consent message, the PayPal checkout, Google sign-in, the app stores' purchase screens and the ads on the website — is provided by those companies, and we cannot change how accessible it is.
4. Feedback and help
If you cannot use part of Metal Strength, or you need any content in another format, email [email protected] (subject: "Accessibility"). Tell us the page or screen and what went wrong. We reply within 5 working days and, where we can, give you the information or the help you need another way.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the authority that enforces accessibility rules in your country; in France you can also contact the Défenseur des droits.
5. About this statement
This statement was prepared on October 8, 2026 from a self-assessment of the website and the apps: automated testing with axe-core of the main pages and screens, followed by manual checks. We review it at least once a year and whenever we make a large change.
